We got bees! BEEEES!
We haven’t had bees in a long time. We’ve kept the hive out in case a wild swarm wanted to stop by, and they have! They’re enjoying the sunshine.

Yes, we used to keep bees and collect their honey! That was an awesome part of my childhood for many years, watching Pa get all dressed up in his beekeeper’s outfit and then spinning the panels in the big drum to use CENTRIFUGAL FORCE and separate the honey from the comb and oh my gosh my sister and I would get so hyper because we’d be sampling the honeyaararharharlahgalhg so delicious.
But now we don’t harvest the honey, because the bees need it more than we do, so we just let them camp out in the hive and leave them be.
